Following reports that Veronica Campbell-Brown, Jamaica’s most successful female athlete with a total of 18 world and Olympic medals, has tested positive for a banned substance, the 31-year-old received over-whelming supportive from scores of fans across the world but that didn't prevent critics from bashing the country’s most decorated female athlete.

- It is so sad to see Jamaicans bash VCB because of this testing. She is Jamaica's most decorated Olympian and has always served her country well and made us proud. Why are we so quick to "be disappointed" and "get vex"? Shelly Ann tested positive once and so did Yohan Blake... And they all served their time and bounced back. - Genetic! Jamaicans have the same gene as every other Africans. Let IAAF test them at least six times a month, and you will see all of them run slow times. Jamaicans who think that this incidence is a conspiracy should hide themselves in shame. If a US athlete fails drug test Jamaicans would never stop talking, but if a Jamaican fails a drug test, they believe someone is trying to pull them down or that they are innocent.
